about The Cotswolds Gastronomad Experience
Some landscapes live in your imagination long before you ever arrive. For anyone who has loved the novels of Jane Austen — or the words of Shakespeare — the Cotswolds is one of them: a place that has lived in literature for centuries, and that earns every word ever written about it. Gentle rolling hills. Endless fields of wheat shimmering in shades of gold. Sheep at ease in verdant pastures, and country roads that seem to exist outside of time, winding through villages so quietly beautiful they stop you mid-step. The Cotswolds Gastronomad Experience is an invitation to step beyond the pages, an invitation to walk these lanes, taste this food, and feel the atmosphere of the England Austen knew.
Over six unhurried days, story, place, and flavor meet at the table. We gather with the farmers, vintners, and artisans behind Britain's finest seasonal ingredients, and feast farm-to-table in the most food-forward pubs, cozy tearooms serving Regency-inspired fare, and historic inns radiating warmth. There are delightful ciders, surprising ales, and the singular enchantment of a proper English afternoon tea taken in gracious Georgian style. Between meals come expert-led literary walks along winding lanes and iconic Austen locations, where we pause to gaze upon the very horizons she once contemplated.
We stay in centuries-old, storied places straight out of a fairytale, each one blending period elegance with modern comfort. And we share it all within a small, warm circle of curious travelers, kept intentionally intimate to preserve authenticity and quality 1. This is not just an itinerary. It is a soulful celebration of genuine friendship, fascinating tales, glorious landscapes, and timeless beauty — a long-held daydream, lovingly brought to breathing life.
